Proofreading Tool – Free Online Text Proofreader
About the Proofreading Tool
The Proofreading Tool reviews your text for grammar, spelling, and style issues all at once, then generates a fully corrected version alongside individually flagged issues. Each issue is labeled by category, so you can see at a glance whether a flag relates to grammar, spelling, or style before deciding whether to apply it.
It supports eight English and European language variants, including English (US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand), French, German, and Dutch. If you only need one type of check, the dedicated Grammar Checker and Spelling Checker focus on a single category at a time, while this tool combines both into one full-text review with a ready-to-use corrected version. Use the Word Counter beforehand to make sure your text fits the per-check word limit.
The BigToolSite Team tested this proofreader across all eight supported languages, mixed grammar and spelling errors in the same passage, and multi-paragraph text to confirm the corrected version and individual issue list stay in sync.

Example Usage
Input: “Their going to the store, but they dont have no money left for it.”
Output: The tool flags “Their” (should be “They’re”), “dont” (should be “don’t”), and the double negative “dont have no money,” then shows a fully corrected version alongside each individual flagged issue.
This combined view is useful when you want a quick, complete pass over shorter pieces of writing like emails, product descriptions, or social posts.
